Workplace Ethics at S&S

S&S strives to maintain responsible workplace standards across our operations and supply chain. Our approach to workplace ethics includes supplier expectations, internal conduct policies, monitoring programs, and reporting mechanisms designed to promote accountability and transparency.
The resources below outline the standards that guide our business practices and sourcing relationships.

S&S Fair Labor Association Participation

S&S Activewear LLC was approved by the Fair Labor Association (FLA) Board of Directors to begin the Participating Company journey in October 2021.
The Fair Labor Association is a third-party organization that promotes safe, fair, and ethical working conditions in global supply chains. As a participating company, S&S aligns its workplace standards and monitoring practices with FLA principles and benchmarks, including the FLA Workplace Code of Conduct.

Responsible Compensation Practices

At S&S Activewear, we recognize the importance of fair compensation within our supply chain. We expect that workers are paid in accordance with applicable laws, receive wages on time, and that our partners continue to make progress toward compensation practices that support worker well-being.

Our Approach

We aim to:

  • Encourage fair and equitable compensation practices for workers
  • Support wage approaches that help minimize reliance on excessive overtime
  • Reflect our expectations within our Supplier Code of Conduct and related purchasing practices

Our Work with the Fair Labor Association (FLA)

S&S Activewear partners with the Fair Labor Association to strengthen our fair compensation work. Through this partnership, we:

  • Use FLA benchmarks and guidance to analyze wage data
  • Integrate FLA recommendations into audits, corrective action plans, and risk assessments
  • Align our program with the FLA's direction to drive long-term progress

Our Focus Areas

We work to:

  • Support transparent collection of wage-related information each year
  • Explore living-wage gap insights across supplier locations
  • Engage with suppliers to better understand factors contributing to wage gaps
  • Encourage purchasing practices that align with fair-compensation principles
  • Pursue ongoing learning informed by assessments and FLA resources

Measuring & Reporting Progress

We look at a range of information sources to help us understand wage-related developments, including:

  • Annual wage information provided by suppliers
  • Country-level living-wage benchmarks used as reference points
  • Year-over-year reviews of internal wage dashboards
  • Quarterly and annual internal assessments that incorporate wage-related insights into broader compliance planning

Accountability

Fair compensation involves collaboration across multiple stakeholders

  • The Compliance team helps review wage data, monitoring activities, and related follow-up
  • Suppliers are expected to participate in assessments and address identified issues
  • Leadership reviews key insights and provides guidance on priority areas
  • The FLA collaboration offers an additional layer of independent perspective and validation

Our Path Forward

S&S Activewear recognizes that every worker has the right to earn a living wage—one that enables them to meet their basic needs, support two dependents, and retain some discretionary income. We plan to continue building on our living-wage efforts by strengthening the quality of data we review, expanding supplier collaboration, and enhancing transparency where appropriate. Fair compensation remains an important element of fostering an ethical and sustainable supply chain—and S&S Activewear will strive to contribute meaningfully to this ongoing work.

Supply Chain Transparency

S&S supports supply chain transparency initiatives that provide visibility into owned brand facilities and sourcing locations where applicable.
